HVACalc - Psychrometric, and wind pressure calculator ===================================================== Installation ============ Copy the file HVAC.EXE into the working directory, and run it! Please note that you will also require the file VBRUN300.DLL in your windows system directory. This file has not been included as it is freely available from many online sources, and is quite large compared to the HVAC.EXE program file. If you have any problems obtaining the file, then contact the author on Compuserve 100044,2312. Instructions on Use =================== Simply use the scroll bars to change the temperature values in increments of either 0.1 celsius, or 1 celsius. Other information such as relative humidity, enthalpy, and moisture content are updated automatically. Also included is a velocity pressure calculator, which is useful when sizing velocity probes for air ducts. The standard barometric pressure of 101.325 kPa can be changed via the keyboard, and restored to it's original value by pressing the "Default Reset" button. Technical Information ===================== Relative % saturation. Enthalpy kJ/kg Moisture Content g/m3 (grammes of moisture per cubic metre) Barometric Pressure kPa Velocity Pressure Pa Calculations have been derived from those available in the British CIBSE (The Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) Guide, Volume C, Reference Data, section C1. Registration ============ This software is freeware!. You are entitled to copy the original ZIP file as often as you wish and distribute it freely, provided you only make a nominal charge for copying. However, I do ask that you keep this file with the EXE file, otherwise no-one will know where the formulae came from for the calculations. Liability ========= No liability can be accepted for any claim arrising through the use of this product. What do you expect for free???? Bleeding Heart Section ====================== Yes, I do enjoy writing little programs to help folks out, but then again I also enjoy knowing what people think of my work. I'm not asking for money, but simply an email, so if you can spare the time to tell me what you think and if you would like to see any modifications, I'd be eternally grateful.
